No doubt this is a pair and they have nested in some 'peaty area'? They slept, preened, wing flapped and slept. That's all they could manage all day. This is just a small farm reservoir with absolutely no food at all but they were happy for the rest and quiet security. I wonder where they will go next, Welney, Slimbridge?
None of the 17 were juveniles so, I wonder what their breeding season has been like up on the Tundra?
